What does Freightfull do?

Freightfull is the only "Open Tender Trading Platform"- designed to bring greater efficiency to the freight industry. This is where "Sellers" (manufacturers, producers, wholesalers, distributors and the general public) can place their "goods to move", rather than having to ring round for the best prices. Our network of authorised transporters is informed of the listing. They then can view the job and tender/bid down the price. For More info see "About Us"

Is it completely free to join and auction my "goods to move" on Freightfull?

Yes. There are no membership fees and to there are no charges to place an auction. At the end of the auction the seller pays the winning transporter direct. If you are a seller then there are no costs involved at all, in fact you can end up making money on Freightfull! Freightfull operates incentives for our customers through two dividend schemes where we profit share with our members. These dividends are paid every six months.

What are the "Incentives/dividend schemes" that Freightfull offer?

Freightfull offers several incentives/profit shares to our customers. These are: The "Seller Dividend" which is calculated on the amount of finalised auctions/tenders which the seller places during the six month period. The "Seller Dividend" is a proportion of the final value of the auctions. The more a seller uses the Freightfull system the greater the dividend return. (Up to 3%) The "Referral Dividend" is based on the amount of finalised auctions/tenders which are placed by sellers that have been referred by the customer. This is calculated at a rate 1% of the final value.

As a seller, I have lots of loads that I would like to put on the system. Do I have to type this information in every time?

No. We have developed tools to make it easier to add auctions quickly. These include a data base of your addresses and a facility to re-list previous auctions. The re-listed auctions can be easily edited before being activated.

Can I edit or cancel an auction after it has been listed on Freightfull?

Yes. Prior to receiving any bids you can change any part of the auction. However once a bid has been received the auction details are locked and the seller can not make any further changes. However, if there is an error on the auction then the Freightfull administrator can be contacted to make changes.

How do I decide what my "Starting Price" should be?

When you are looking to price your "goods to move" there are a number of factors that affect the pricing of the job. These include the size and number of items to be moved and the distance they have to be transported. When considering what your "starting price" will be try not to set it too low as this may limit the number of bids you receive. The starting price is the maximum price that you are willing to pay. The transporters will then "bid down" the price from there. If you are unsure of what price to set; we suggest that you "save" the auction to "Goods Pending" and contact a local transporter to get a "market price". If this price is within your budget use this as your "starting price".

(Further information; the price that transporters will tender may be limited by several factors. These include: What type of vehicle the transporter is running and how full it is? Does the vehicle have to make a detour to make the pick up and/or drop off? Is the vehicle returning to its base?)

As a seller; who sees the bids that are made on my auction?

Any transporter that searches on your auction can see the bid history, but they can only see the price not who made the bids. Only the seller and the administrator can see who made the bids.

Can a company join Freightfull as both a seller and transporter?

Yes. A "Transporter" can do both.

As a transporter; are there any costs to join and use Freightfull?

There are no membership fees or charges to tender for auctions on Freightfull. With our "pay as you go" system you are only ever charged if you win an auction. When you win an auction Freightfull´s fee is 10% (ex VAT).

As a transporter; how does "Automatic Bidding" work?

As a transporter you can bid lower than the current asking price on the auction and the Freightfull system will automatically bid for you down to this level. This enables the transporter to get the best price to move the goods. If you are outbid below this level Freightfull will inform you by email.

How do I search for auctions?

In the "Search" page open the "category folders" and then tick the relevant "type of freight" options from the drop down list. (On each search the site will reload with the previous choices)

The transporter then selects a "date range" for the search. The earliest date always defaults to "to-day" with the latest pick up date set one year ahead. (These dates can be edited from the calendars.)

The transporter then selects "Show results on a Map" which will graphically show all the pick ups and drop offs on the map as pins. Clicking each pin shows a summary of the auction and the full details of the auction can be accessed from here. The map can zoom in and out to the transporters" requirements. There is an option to "Show a Route" on the Map Search and this shows the proximity of the jobs to the route.

Alternatively you can "Show results as a List" which gives a detailed summary of all the auctions available within the current zoom of the map and from here you can access the full details of each auction.
